Another Snow Day in Memphis...woohoo!!!!

Ok, so I go 6 months without Blogging at all, and then I blog TWICE in one day...what is the world coming to?!? This was a great day!!!! I hit the snooze when my alarm went off at 6:00am as usual and didn't think a thing about it...then my phone rings about 6:15. It was my Nurse Manager at work.."Julie, have you looked outside? No, I replied"...thinking its 6AM why would I be looking outside?!? "Look out the closest window", she says..so, I stand up in the bed, look out the window and "WOW, IT SNOWED!" I was thrilled!!! So, after I get off the phone with her, look online and realize that Charles is out of school, I am out of work, I am going back to bed!!! But first, I go outside and take some pictures. Look how much snow is on our mailbox..

It was BEAUTIFUL!!!! I can't tell you how excited I was, I haven't seen snow like this in years...I mean, we get a little bit, here and there, but this was great snow!

This was just picture perfect...no one driving on the roads, the only thing messing up the beautiful snow were my footprints...but I couldn't resist...so, I went back in the house, curled up in bed and....we woke up about 11:00am!!!!

This was one of the BEST MONDAY'S I have had in a LONG time!!!! Spending time at home all day with my hubby (even a little snowball fight in the afternoon) and bachelor watching with friends tonight. Guess we will have to get back to the grind tomorrow, but it was tons of fun while it lasted! Happy Monday! :)

Our Friends, The Sisco's are huge Colts Fans!! Esp Kayla...she loves her some Peyton Manning!!! So, they hosted a great Superbowl party. We had lots of great food, Superbowl Bingo and lots of laughs. Its was a fun night!! She decided weeks ago that she wanted to have a Superbowl party and do and Blue and White theme...so all the girls have been thinking of ideas for snacks. What a fun night this was, sorry that the Colts didn't win, but it was a great party anyway. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Sisco for hosting. :)

Snow Day, Snow Day!!

Everyone LOVES a Snow Day!! So...living in Memphis, you may get snow, you may not.... A few weeks ago they kept saying we were gonna get snow and I was getting all excited, and NOTHING happened. So, when they started talking about it this week, I didn't believe them. Got up Friday morning, nothing...raining a little, so I went to work like normal. Charles' school was called off early, but I still didn't think anything would happen. After arriving at work the rain starts turning into sleet...and by about 10:00 this is what the parking lot looked like.... So, I left! Went home, had a nice long nap. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE our Memphis Family....I LOVE THEM! We are all (other than the Joneses and we miss them) right here together...literally, The Trammells are in our back door and The Sisco's are about a block over..this is wonderful! So, since we were all snowed in, I made a big pot of chilli and the "family" came over. We ate, guys played Wii, girls had "girl talk time" and we just all hung out. We wanted to play in the "snow" sooo badly but it was just all ICE and FREEZING outside!!! This is all we got, and only stayed out there for about..umm, ONE MINUTE and ran back inside!

So, it was a fun night, thanks guys for coming over and I'm so thankful that we have the BEST "Memphis Family" ever!!!(Missed you Keith and Kendall)

Let me leave you with a picture of what I believe is THE CUTEST LITTLE BOY IN THE WORLD....I miss Baby Will soooo much! (he really isn't a baby anymore but I will always refer to him as "Baby Will") Maria has kept me posted over the past couple of days with pictures and videos as this sweet little guy plays in the snow, and he loves it! Miss you little buddy, see you soon!

Of BLOGGING that is.... Everyone knows that I am not the best blogger around...my, my master bloggers didn't have their cameras last night during our Wii PARTY!! So, its up to me.... :) We haven't been to the ever famous Central BBQ in a loooong time, so we decided that it was time...So, after work and school, we got together and headed to Central. It was ooo sooo good, then headed back to our house for some Wii action.

Fun night....wish we would have gotten a girls group pic. ooo well. Not too many people got hurt during this night...I smacked CP in the head, not on purpose of course...and CP nearly hit Trav in the head several time, but no one got hurt badly! It was fun and we will do it again SOON!

My Wonderful Friends!!! O, and my bday party too :)

Lets just start off my saying...I LOVE MY MEMPHIS FAMILY!!!!! My birthday always falls on or near Thanksgiving...therefore, everyone is always doing family things...NOT THIS YEAR!!! My wonderful friends got together with my hubby and planned all of these special surprises for me. The night starts off with Charles, talking me into going out to eat, instead of cooking..."sounds great to me!" I'm always up for not cooking... :) But, I started getting confused when he asked me if I was going to wear my scrubs, and kindly suggested that I change into something different AND saying that we couldn't go until 7 b/c he had to study...OK whatever, I say. So, while playing on the computer, "waiting for 7 oclock, so that we could go eat" the doorbell rings. Reminder...I DON'T answer the door after dark...after yelling for CP a couple of times and he ignoring me, I finally get up and peek out the blinds. I see Kayla and Lauren smiling and waving at me. I open the door and they say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Now get your purse and come on!" So, without tooo many questions, I go. They took me to the Nail Bar where Kendall was waiting on us! We got pedis and then went back to the Trammells house where the sweet hubby brought in, yes, my favorite...OUTBACK TO GO!!! It was SOOOO yummy AND Lauren made the best chocolate cupcakes too. It was SUCH AN AWESOME NIGHT and I REALLY appreciate my sweet friends doing this for me! It really really means alot and I love you all. Thanks so much for being wonderful friends.
